Lord Kelvin: Revolutionary Scientist

This permanent display is based around the life and work of Lord Kelvin - Glasgow’s greatest scientist.
Visitors have the chance to investigate how solving problems in physics 150 years ago led to practical inventions which have transformed all of our lives today. An exciting mix of hands-on activities, original scientific instruments, demonstrations and computer-generated images bring the display to life. This innovative exhibition brings together a world-famous collection of historical items and merges them with modern technology to show how solving problems in physics 150 years ago led to practical inventions which have transformed our lives today.
Hunter: Man, Medic and Collector
This new permanent exhibition tells the story of Dr William Hunter, the Scottish obstetrician, teacher, collector and founder of the Hunterian Museum.
