Hotelier and Restaurateur Maurice V Taylor first opened La Bonne Auberge Brasserie, as Glasgow's original French Mediterranean Brasserie and Bar on Bastille Day in 1975. It's first home was in the Park Circus area of the City.
La Bonne Auberge was inspired by the Brasseries of the French Riviera in the early '70s, and over the last quarter of a century has been a principal player in forming what is Glasgow's exceptional restaurant scene

Car Park
Concert Square car park is the closest to the hotel. It is £1GBP to park here from 6pm to 8am. Outwith these times it is a per hour rate.
If you are leaving your car for any length of time we recommend you take advantage of our exclusive rate at Buchanan Galleries Car Park, you will only pay £6.50 for 24 hours. Don’t forget to ask reception to stamp your car park ticket and you will need to pay at the car park kiosk NOT the automated machines
By road from the East
Following the M8 motorway to Glasgow City centre exit at Junction 16. Just before you come to the traffic lights at the end of the slip road turn left, signed to George Square. At the first set of traffic lights go straight on. The second set turn left. At the third set go straight on and the hotel is on your right just before the next set of traffic lights, just past The Express Hotel.
If you wish to park in the Concert Square car park turn left at the third set of traffic lights and the car park entrance is immediately on your right. If you wish to use Buchanan Galleries Car Park please follow the signs
By road from the North
Take M9 to M73 and exit M73 onto the M8 motorway, continue with directions above By road from the East.
By road from the South
Take M6 north onto the M74. Exit M74 signed Glasgow M8 onto M73 follow signs for Glasgow City Centre M8, continue with directions above By road from the East.
By road from the West
Following M8 signed City Centre and Edinburgh. Come over the Kingston Bridge and come off immediately at junction 18 signed City Centre. Follow the slip road round onto Bothwell Street. Follow this road until you get to the last set of traffic lights when you must go left onto Hope Street. Continue up Hope Street until you get to the last set of traffic lights and turn right, just beside The Theatre Royal. If you want to go to the hotel turn right at the next set of traffic lights and the hotel is on your right just before the next set of traffic lights, past The Express Hotel.
If you wish to park in Concert Square car park go straight on at 3rd set of traffic lights and the entrance to the car park is on your right. If you wish to use Buchanan Galleries Car Park please follow the signs. |
